Dear KCC Family
After much discussion and prayerful consideration, KCC leadership decided to suspend our worship services for the next two weeks, as well as all smaller gatherings such as Sunday School, Bible studies and Grief Share. We have also decided to postpone our Anniversary celebration in May.
In recent days, the State, County, and National officials, as well as the ECC denomination, have expressed extreme caution about any gathering of people because such gatherings only serve to increase the chances of the COVID virus being spread. At this time, we feel we must do what we can to guard against becoming carriers of a virus on our campus. We are concerned for everyone but especially our older congregation and those with compromised health conditions.
Furthermore, we need to be sensitive to guard the reputation of the church in our community by not appearing cavalier or arrogant in the face of a serious viral threat. Thus, it is out of love for our Lord and our community that we have reached this decision to not gather in the hopes of protecting our church family and the community.
Please be praying for our church as we seek to be God's people even when we are not able able to be physically present with each other. In the coming days, you will be contacted by one of our leaders who will reach out to your family with a friendly call and an opportunity to pray for you and offer care. We hope to also stay in touch through social media, OneCall, and online messages in the coming days. Stay tuned and stay safe! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the church at 559-846-5307 or email Pastor Paul at
Grace and Peace,
