Serve Kerman Day is organized by Kerman Covenant Church, La Viña Covenant Church and the Kerman Community Service Organization. At 8:00am on Saturday, October 25, 2008, all participating will gather at Kerman Covenant Church (15495 W Whitesbridge @ Del Norte) to receive final projects and be sent out to work at 8:30am. At 12:00noon, all are invited back to Kerman Covenant Church for lunch and celebration of the day. Why Serve Kerman Day?:We hope for the Kerman community to join hands with individuals and agencies in the region to touch lives and serve: supporting children, senior citizens, public libraries, parks and neighborhoods, non-profit organizations, physically challenged persons, those confined to homes or those in need of help with their homes. Our goal is to provide Kerman residents the opportunity to impact the community by providing practical needs through service projects. We hope to instill community service as a lifestyle for those who are a part of our local community Who will be served?:We are currently putting together a list of those in our community who need assistance with yard work, home repair, painting, etc. We are focusing our efforts on senior citizens, non-profits and low-income households that need a little extra help in caring for their property. Additional service sites will possibly include public parks and other public areas. |
